Robert Owen Bloyd, age 93 passed away on Saturday January 6, 2018. Robert was born December 12, 1924 in Lamar, Colorado. He is preceded in death by his wife of 65 years, Gloria (Wagner) Bloyd; parents, Helen (Stout) and C.J. Bloyd; son, Gregory Allen Bloyd; great-granddaughter, Lily Cantu; and 7 brothers and sisters. Robert is survived by his sons, Scott Edward Bloyd of Bedford, Virginia and Roger Dean Bloyd of Littleton, Colorado; grandchildren, Justin Bloyd, Emily Bloyd, Chad Cantu, Amanda Cantu, Erica Cantu, Alisha Bloyd and Samantha Diechert; as well as 12 great-grandchildren and other...

Robert Owen Bloyd, age 93 passed away on Saturday January 6, 2018. Robert was born December 12, 1924 in Lamar, Colorado. He is preceded in death by his wife of 65 years, Gloria (Wagner) Bloyd; parents, Helen (Stout) and C.J. Bloyd; son, Gregory Allen Bloyd; great-granddaughter, Lily Cantu; and 7 brothers and sisters. Robert is survived by his sons, Scott Edward Bloyd of Bedford, Virginia and Roger Dean Bloyd of Littleton, Colorado; grandchildren, Justin Bloyd, Emily Bloyd, Chad Cantu, Amanda Cantu, Erica Cantu, Alisha Bloyd and Samantha Diechert; as well as 12 great-grandchildren and other loving family and friends.

Robert graduated from Colorado State University in 1950. He served his country as a Marine during both WWII and the Korean War. He was a farmer and a "jack-of-all-trades" and became known as "Mr. Fix-it". Robert was a devoted husband, father, farmer, Marine, teacher and a great listener for advice. He will be missed.

A Visitation will be held from 9:00 to 10:00 am, Thursday, January 11, 2018 at Olinger Chapel Hill Mortuary, 6601 S Colorado Blvd, Centennial, CO 80121. A Funeral Service will begin at 10:00 am at Olinger Chapel Hill Mortuary followed by a Committal Service in the cemetery. A Celebration of Life Reception will begin back at the funeral home following the burial.
